How It Works

Hiring a Mobile Cabin is quick and easy and can be arranged in just a few easy steps:

  • Firstly, you will need to consider where you want the Mobile Cabin placed and whether or not there is enough space available.  Please refer to our Mobile Cabin designs below for the relevant sizes and access clearance required to situate the Mobile Cabin on site.  You will also need to ensure that the Mobile Cabin will be within 20 metres of your power connection point for power supply.  If you are unsure whether you have the space required, we can arrange a pre‑delivery site inspection to determine this for you.
  • You will then need to decide how long you need to hire the Mobile Cabin for and you will be required to enter into a legally binding Lease agreement as well as agree to our Terms and Conditions of Hire.  Our minimum Lease term is three (3) months, however we do offer negotiated short-term rentals for sporting and other events.
  • Once you have decided to hire a Mobile Cabin, we will ask you to pay a $500 deposit/bond (small cabin) or $700 deposit/bond (large cabin) which will be refunded to you at the end of the Lease term as long as you have met the conditions of the Lease.  You will also be required to pay one (1) weeks’ hire fees in advance, together with our standard delivery and set up fee of $250.00 which includes our charge for collecting the Mobile Cabin at the end of the Lease term.  Please note, additional delivery costs will be charged on a per kilometre basis for delivery of a Mobile Cabin outside of the Cairns region
  • You will also need to pay an Exit Clean Fee of $100 (Small Cabin) or $150 (Large Cabin) in advance to cover the cost of cleaning fees at the expiration of the hire period
  • Next, we deliver the Mobile Cabin and set it up ready for you to start enjoying.

Please note that contents insurance is your responsibility while the Mobile Cabin is on your property and you will need to contact your insurance company to arrange adequate insurance for your contents.

  • One (1) week's hire fees are payable in advance on the signing of the Lease and acceptance of our Terms and Conditions of Hire.  Hire fees are to be paid on a weekly basis thereafter.
  • Exit Clean Fees: Small Cabin $100, Large Cabin $150.

What areas do you service?

We can hire Mobile Cabins to clients in Cairns and greater Cairns region including the Tablelands.  Our standard delivery charge within the Cairns region is $250.00 and additional delivery costs are charged on a per kilometre basis beyond this. 

How high are they?

You will need a 3.4m height clearance (from trees in the driveway or overhanging eaves of the house etc).

How wide are they (for access, etc)?

Entry access should be 2.7m wide so the cabin can be towed onto your site.

What if access is too narrow?

We can arrange for a crane to lift our Mobile Cabin over most obstacles (including carports, fences, retaining walls etc.) however the costs associated with this will be passed on to you.

How do I connect power to the Mobile Cabin?

We supply a 20 metre long heavy duty caravan lead with your cabin. This can be plugged into any normal three pin power point in your home (or if you are building, you can use the builders pole/box). If you need a power lead longer than this, please let us know.

Does the Mobile Cabin have power, phone and internet connection points?

Each cabin has two double power points, one internal light and an exterior light. All our cabins also come with a switch board and smoke alarm.

In most instances you don't need a building consent as the Mobile Cabins are classed as a caravan however, it is your responsibility to check with your local Council for clarification.

Is a deposit or bond required?

Yes, there is a deposit/bond required of $500.00 (small cabin) or $700 (large cabin) which is refundable at the end of the Lease term if the Lease conditions are met.

Do you deliver the Mobile Cabin or can I collect it?

We tow the cabins to you, then set them up and level them on your site. If you want the cabin shifted (e.g. moving house) we will do this for you for a small fee.

Is there a delivery fee?

Yes there is. Delivery includes placement & levelling of your Mobile Cabin and it also includes pickup and collection at the end of your Lease. Depending on where you need the cabin delivered to, the cost may vary from as little as $250. To find out the delivery fee for your area please contact us with your address so that we can provide you with an accurate delivery fee.

Can I tow/move the Mobile Cabin myself?

No. We need to do that for you and we will do this for a fee if you need it to be moved at a future date e.g. to a different location or position.

Do the wheels stay on the Mobile Cabin?

Yes they do, just like a caravan.

Does the Mobile Cabin have any furniture?

No, the Mobile Cabin is an empty space ready for you to furnish to suit your needs.

Are my contents insured in the Mobile Cabin?

You will need to arrange your own contents insurance for the Mobile Cabin by contacting your insurance provider.

Are the Mobile Cabins secure?

Yes they are. All Mobile Cabins have lockable security screens on the windows and door openings.

Is there a minimum hire period?

In most cases, the minimum hire period is three (3) months. However, we do offer negotiated short-term hire for sporting and other events depending upon the availability of cabins.

Is there a fee to pick it up and take it away?

No. When you end your lease, we will come and collect your cabin from you & provided you have returned it in a clean & undamaged condition, we will refund you your deposit/bond.

When can you deliver one to me?

We generally have cabins available, however, please phone us on 0408 290 546 or contact us online and we will be able to confirm availability. We always try to have spare cabins in stock, however, sometimes we just can't keep up with demand for our cabins. Therefore, the more notice you give us, the better we can ensure that we can meet your needs by providing you with your preferred cabin size on the date you need it.

What do I need to do to order a cabin?

It is very simple and easy. Please complete the Contact Us form and we will phone you to discuss your Mobile Cabin needs and arrange for the Lease paperwork to be forwarded to you.
